World were delighted to announce their donation of £250 to The Sea Horse Swimming Club this week, through their charity the Arnold Haase Charitable Trust.

Gareth Roberts, from The Sea Horse Swimming Club, visited SG World on Tuesday 9th October to receive the cheque and talk about the difference that the donation will make to the Club.

“The Sea Horse Swimming Club is for people with all different kinds of disabilities, both physical and learning. We mainly help people who are on the autistic spectrum but we aim to support anyone who wants to be part of our group.Seahorse Swimming Club - Word Press 2

"We give swimming lessons tailored to each members’ individual needs, as well as water therapy. All lessons are carefully adapted to suit the needs of each member, as all their needs are different.

“The benefits of The Sea Horse Swimming Club to our members are huge; our group is a friendly place where our members – who sometimes find socialising challenging – can also come together to network, socialise and have fun. We’re so much more than swimming lessons – we’re a community.

“That’s why donations like this one are so important to us. We’re really grateful to The Arnold Haase Charitable Trust; the money will go towards organising our next Regional Swimming Gala and continuing to provide our service to our members.”

Mark Haase, SG World CEO, said: “The Arnold Haase Charitable Trust aims to help disadvantaged and young people in the Crewe area. The Sea Horse Swimming Club hold such similar values to ours that it was an obvious choice when their name was put forward to receive a donation. We hugely respect the work of the Sea Horses and it was pleasure meeting Gareth and learning more about their work.”
