School Competition Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions

1. All entries must be entirely the pupils own work.
2. Each poem on the subject of “my perfect day” must be a minimum of 4 lines maximum of 16 lines.
3. All entries must be completed on the online form which is available at www.sgworld.com/schoolscompetition. Once completed the form must be sent to competition@sgworld.com, all fields must be filled in or the entry will be invalid.
4. The £5 entry fee must be received for your entry to be valid, please provide contact details including an email address with your payment. Once payment has been received we will contact you to confirm receipt of payment and entries
5. We cannot return any entries (if the poem is of particular interest to you please make a copy yourself)
6. Each school can enter a maximum of 2 entries per age category which are based on school year groups as follows:  years 1 to 3, 4 to 6 and and  years 7 to 11.
7. All entries must be received between now and the end of Summer term 2010
8. During August 2010, the specialist judges will pick 3 finalists from each category; finalists will be invited to attend the grand final in Autmun 2010. Each finalist plus a chaperone will be reimbursed pre agreed travel expenses to and from the venue.
9. The finalists will be informed in September 2010
10. All decisions by SG World and the judges are final and SG World reserves the right to amend any part of the prize for something of equal or greater value.
11. The competition is open to any primary/infant/junior/secondary school within England, Scotland and Wales
12. By taking part in the competition you are allowing SG World to use any entries for marketing purposes. If successful SG World and other media may be recording and photographing the grand final and will expect any finalists or winners to provide press opportunities where necessary. Participants must agree to their pictures being published in any medium.

Prize information

The winning pupil from each category will win a 12 month annual pass for a family of 4, to the Merlin group of attractions which include Chessington World of Adventures, Alton Towers, Sea Life Centres, Legoland, Madame Tussauds plus many more. And also a Nintendo DSi.

The School of the winning pupil from each category will receive £1000 plus a 12 months supply of SG Worlds Incident Reporting System.

The 8 runners up will each receive a Nintendo DSi. 

Entry Fee

This competition is run in support of Whizz-Kidz and all the entry fees will be donated directly to them. You can pay your fee 3 ways, either go to www.justgiving//sgworld or, alternatively you can post a £5 note or a cheque for £5 made payable to Whizz-Kidz. The address to send your entry money to is:
