    • What are the benefits of recording the location of a pupil’s bump or bruise on an Incident Reporting System?
    • By recording where a pupil has suffered an injury, no matter how mild, schools can identify areas where injuries keep occurring and determine if there is a problem which can be solved to prevent accidents in the future.

    • Do schools legally need to report to the HSE if a pupil has been hospitalised following an incident at school?
    • Yes, if a student is hospitalised resulting from an incident at school under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR), the school must report the incident to the HSE. Schools would report a RIDDOR-mandated incident using the F2508 form.

    • What are the benefits of using SG World’s Incident Reporting system?
    • Schools can benefit from using SG World’s Incident Reporting system because it allows schools to keep parents informed off all incidents relating to their child, identifies children who have recurring incidents that may signify underlying medical causes or issues at school such as bullying, and highlights problem areas in schools where most incidents may occur. The Incident Reporting system can also be completely customised to suit the school’s exact requirements and support their safeguarding responsibilities.
