Weston Village Primary School, Crewe, Wins Impressive Wristband Printer & £500 Towards A School Trip
The Worshipful Mayor of Cheshire East Councillor Margaret Simon and SG World CEO Arnold Haase visited Weston Village Primary School, Crewe on Monday 20th July to award the winning pupil and school their prizes for the winning entry in SG World’s exciting school competition ‘Where in the World’.In April this year, Crewe company SG World launched their “Where in the World” competition to all primary schools in the CW postcode area. Pupils were asked to make a drawing/painting of where they would like to go for their ideal school trip. SG World were inundated with over 550 entries from 21 schools.

Georgia Buckingham, aged 9 drew the winning picture of her ideal trip to Buckingham Palace. She was presented with her prize, a Nintendo DSi during an extra ordinary morning assembly.
During which, Arnold Haase CEO of SG World, presented Roy Broughton the school’s Head Teacher with a cheque for £500 and a wristband printer worth over £400!
Speaking after the assembly Arnold Haase said “School trips are difficult to organise. Keeping the children safe is no easy task, but is a schools first priority. We decided to run this competition to highlight the importance of education outside the classroom and how our wristband printer can help schools to keep their children safe. It has been such a delight to run the competition and to see what a huge response we have received. I hope that the £500 and the wristband printer we have awarded to Weston Village Primary School will help them to have a great school trip”
