FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity?
We do not have a minimum order quantity only a minimum order value of £30

Can I change my order?
Once you have clicked 'place order' in the shopping cart your order cannot be amended. If you have made a mistake or wish to change delivery type then you should contact us at web-orders@sgworld.com

Can I cancel my order?
Once you have placed an order it cannot be cancelled as the order process will have started immediately. We may be able to stop postage if you contact us in time, but if payment has been made, cancelling the order may incur a restocking fee.

How can I pay with a credit or debit card?
To pay via credit and debit card simply choose Credit Card during the Payment Method stage of the checkout process. Card payments are secured by Shopify Paments and we accept Visa, Mastercard & Maestro.

Is my payment secure?
Yes, your payment is securely processed using Shopify Pay. Find out more about Shopify security procedures on the Shopify Pay website.

 

How can I pay with a purchase order?
To pay via a purchase order, f you are an existing customer, just enter your PO number in the Special Instructions box at checkout. If you are a new customer, simply enter your purchase order number in the Special Instructions box and choose "New Credit Account" at checkout. SG World will set your company up on our system using the details you provide.

Do I need an account to order from SG World?
It is optional to have an online account, however it allows you to see all your previous purchases and is recommended.

How do I update my account information?
To update your account information, login to your account or click on My Account. You will then open your dashboard and can update your shipping or billing information, add a new payment method or subscribe to our newsletter.

Will I receive an invoice?
Yes all orders will receive an invoice.

What are my delivery options?
We currently offer the following two delivery options:

Standard 3-4 Days

Express 1-2 Days

 

Can I change the delivery address?
Your delivery address can be changed if your order has not been processed by our despatch team. Please contact us at web-orders@sgworld.com or telephone 01270 588211 (option 1).

Can I return an item?
Items can be returned and refunded minus a handling fee (15% of order value, except delivery charges) if in a good condition, un-used and un-opened. The return delivery charge will not be refunded unless the return is due to damaged goods or a mistake by SG World Ltd. More information can be found on the back of our invoice.

Credit Notes will be processed once the goods are received back by us, and until this time, they remain your property. We highly recommend using a 'signed for' return delivery service such as Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.

Imprinted and Special made to order items will not be accepted for return under any circumstances.

What if my order hasn’t arrived?
If your order has not arrived within the date range provided with your shipping option, please contact us at web-orders@sgworld.com.

Do you deliver overseas or outside of the UK?
No, we only deliver to UK Mainland, for international orders please call 01270 588211 (option 1).

How many inspections can be carried out using an SG World inspection pad?
Each inspection pad provides 30 inspections of a piece of equipment.

Is a Permit to Work a legally required document?
No, a Permit to Work is not legally required, but it is considered best practice for many types of work.

Is a risk assessment a legal requirement?
Yes, a risk assessment is a legal requirement for carrying out work according to the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, article 3.

At what size would a company be legally required to document a risk assessment?
Companies which employ five or more people must document the risk assessments they carry out.

What is an F2508 form?
An F2508 form is a form schools are legally required to fill out and return to the HSE if a reportable accident happens within their school to an adult or where the accident falls under their reporting responsibilities under RIDDOR. SG World's Incident Reporting Register and Incident Reporting Pad contain a tick box for staff or teachers to check and record if an F2508 form has been filled out.
