Baler Pre-Use/Daily Inspection Checklist (pad of 30)
A baler is a useful piece of recycling equipment saving businesses money, time and space. The baler inspection pad helps you perform their pre-use or daily safety inspections.
The checklist is designed to help you comply with your duty of care under HSE guidance and PUWER. The duplicate checklist design creates two signed copies of each inspection and incorporates a PASS/FAIL notice. Each pad has 30 checklists and is used in tandem with a hi-vis display wallet
Dimensions: 84mm (h) x 229mm (w)

How to use
Before every shift, the operator of the baler can simply work down the inspection checklist, checking the safety of each component in turn. Once the baler pre-use inspection is complete, assuming safety has been established, the green PASS inspection certificate can be placed inside a safety status indicator on the machine ensuring that everyone can clearly see that the baler is safe for use. Failing balers can be similarly identified by a red FAIL certificate and reported for maintenance. The duplicate copy of the certificate remains inside the inspection pad and can be used as evidence of inspections should you ever need to produce this for the HSE or other official parties.
If you've got any other questions you can check out our How To Page for more information.
How often should a baler steer be inspected?
A programme of daily visual checks, regular inspections and servicing schedules should be established in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Operators should be encouraged to report defects or problems. Reported problems should be put right quickly and the baler taken out of service if the item is safety critical.
How to keep your baler running smoothly ?
Cleaning the inside and outside of waste collection equipment will help it work smoothly. A quick brush to remove leftover debris cardboard can help avoid blockages, and a wipe down to remove any accidental liquid spillage or moisture build up can prevent rust. Always observe cardboard baler safety instructions and make sure that the waste baler is turned off before you start to clean.
